Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the StudyNow mobile application (the "Service") operated by StudyNow ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.

1. Eligibility and Age Requirements

By using StudyNow, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years of age
• If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law or regulation

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.

2. Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password and/or authentication credentials that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your account.

You agree not to share your account credentials with any third party and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of StudyNow require a paid subscription ("StudyNow Pro"). By subscribing, you agree to the following:

Billing and Renewal

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Renewal Charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• Price Changes: Subscription prices may change. You will be notified of any price changes in advance

Cancellation

• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your paid period
• No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support directly through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Free Trial

We may offer free trials or promotional offers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription. Each user is entitled to one free trial only.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of StudyNow and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both Norway and foreign countries.

5. AI-Generated Content

Our Service utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate study quizzes and materials based on text or documents you provide. Regarding this content:

• Accuracy: While we strive for high-quality outputs, AI systems can make mistakes. You acknowledge that StudyNow does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any generated questions or answers. You should always verify critical information.
• User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the input data you upload. You represent that you have the right to use any text or documents you submit for processing.
• No Warranties: AI-generated content is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind.

6. User Content

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). You are responsible for the Content that you post to the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

By posting Content, you grant us the right to use, display, and distribute that Content in connection with operating the Service. You retain ownership of your Content.

Prohibited Content

You agree not to post Content that:

• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Is false, misleading, or deceptive
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations

7. Data Deletion and Account Termination

You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

How to Delete Your Account

• In-App: Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account
• Email: Send a request to noah@mord.no with your username or phone number

What Gets Deleted

Upon account deletion:

• Your profile information (username, phone number, profile image)
• Your created quizzes and study materials
• Your quiz results and study history
• Your leaderboard entries

Data Retention

Some data may be retained for a limited period for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or to resolve disputes. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or delete your account.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall StudyNow, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content
• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content

10. Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

12. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
